Crystal River’s Controversial Repairs Central to Duke Energy Hearings

As the North Carolina Utilities Commission wrapped up its hearings July 20 into Duke Energy’s surprise ousting of CEO William D. “Bill” Johnson, it remained unclear whether regulators would further investigate a pending repair project at the troubled Crystal River nuclear powerplant, despite it remaining a key issue behind the boardroom shake-up.
